Best Seat on the Boat
From The June 16-17 White Lake/Michigan adventure weekend: my absolutely favorite place to be is relaxing on the front with a perfect view of the waters we're cruising, in this case, Lake Michigan and a sweet sunset.
Ten Years post Wooster
SLT--S.eriously L.imited T.ime before SLT
My brain feels like it's already back at Cedar Campus again, stepping into the calmness before 70+ students arrive for SLT on July 8. However, my body is very clearly aware of the mounting list of things that are yet to be finished before I head out on Tuesday! My roommates and I need to negotiate the responsibilities of those staying. Bill, glorious bills...Bleh!. Talks to be written, worship to be planned, oh and laundry! But, again the joys of what will await us there.
Praying friends who know SLT--please be talking to the Father for us July 8-Aug. 5. Staff arrive on July 5, where myself with the director and 2 other lead staff will be waiting for them. Pray for our few days together as a team to be filled with time of gaining our own good team relating, as well as listening to Jesus for His intentions for the month.
Pray for me, primarily as the worship leader, to remain focused on helping us as a community connect with God day in and day out, utilizing the gifts of others well, and encouraging their full participation.
Pray for me to be a clear bringer of JOY to the other staff and students of SLT '06. Praise God the Lord for what He will do, and ask Him to meet us with His presence and transforming power!
